In Investigating the True Way, Do Not Repeat the Mistake of the Jews
Now is already the final phase of the last days. Many sincere believers in the Lord are longing for the Lord’s return. When hearing The Church of Almighty God bear witness to the Lord’s return, some of them are excited and take the initiative to seek and investigate it. Some, however, refuse to examine the true way because their pastors say something to condemn The Church of Almighty God — will this cause them to miss the chance to welcome the Lord’s return?
2,000 years ago, when the Lord Jesus appeared and worked on earth, He expressed many truths and performed many signs and miracles. Many Jews followed Him in the beginning, but the Pharisees judged that the Lord Jesus was merely the son of a carpenter, not God Himself, and even condemned that He spoke blasphemy and relied on Beelzebub to cast out demons. The Jewish people listened to the Pharisees’ rumors and lies and then followed them in crucifying Lord Jesus, which ultimately led to the destruction of Israel. Clearly, the failure of the Jews was caused by their mistake that they blindly believed what the Pharisees said and did not seek and investigate the work of the Lord Jesus. Today, while waiting to welcome the Lord’s return, if we blindly believe the pastors’ condemnation and refuse to seek and investigate the work of the returned Lord, we will easily lose the chance to welcome Him.
Therefore, we cannot blindly listen to the words of man in investigating the true way. Then, what should we do to welcome the Lord’s return?
The Lord Jesus said, “My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me” (John 10:27).
Almighty God says, “[S]ince we are searching for the footprints of God, it behooves us to search for God’s will, for the words of God, for His utterances — because wherever there are new words spoken by God, the voice of God is there, and wherever there are the footsteps of God, God’s deeds are there. Wherever there is the expression of God, there God appears, and wherever God appears, there the truth, the way, and the life exist. In seeking God’s footprints, you have ignored the words ‘God is the truth, the way, and the life.’ And so, many people, even when they receive the truth, do not believe that they have found God’s footprints, and still less do they acknowledge the appearance of God. What a grave mistake! ”
Almighty God, Christ of the last days, has expressed all the truth that can save mankind. The wise virgins, once recognizing Almighty God’s words to be the truth, the voice of God, are determined to seek and investigate His work of the last days, without being constrained by any person. This allows them the chance to welcome the Lord and receive His end-time salvation. So, while investigating the true way, we should follow the example of the wise virgins and focus on listening for God’s voice. Only in this way will we be able to welcome the Lord’s return.
