Focus on Super Blood Moon: The Great and Terrible Day of Jehovah Is Coming
Recently, the major news on the Internet has attracted the attention of many countries: May 26 is about to see a blood moon, which is the second super moon this year. The blood moon will happen during a total lunar eclipse, so it’s also called the super blood moon. There are records of blood moons all over the world, and blood moons are often regarded as precursors of disasters or unusual events. As Christians, how should we view the appearance of this blood moon?
Joel 2:29–31 prophesies, “And also on the servants and on the handmaids in those days will I pour out My Spirit. And I will show wonders in the heavens and in the earth, blood, and fire, and pillars of smoke. The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and terrible day of Jehovah comes.” And in Revelation 6:12, “And I beheld when He had opened the sixth seal, and, see, there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became as blood.” In recent years, blood moons have appeared many times. Many scholars of the Bible firmly believe that the appearance of blood moons is the fulfillment of the Bible prophecies, that it’s the precursor of disasters, and that the great and terrible day of Jehovah is near.
Almighty God says, “Open your eyes and look, and you can see My great power everywhere! You can be certain of Me everywhere. The cosmos and the firmament are spreading My great power. The words I have spoken have come true in the warming of the weather, in climate change, in abnormalities within people, in the disorder of social dynamics, and in the deceit within people’s hearts. The sun whitens and the moon reddens; it all is out of balance. Do you really still not see these things?” “All manner of disasters will befall, one after another; all nations and places will experience calamities: Plague, famine, flood, drought, and earthquakes are everywhere. These disasters are not just happening in one or two places, nor will they be over within a day or two; rather, instead they will expand across a greater and greater area, and become more and more severe. During this time, all manner of insect plagues will arise one after another, and the phenomenon of cannibalism will occur everywhere. This is My judgment upon all nations and peoples.”
From the words of God, we can see that the appearance of the blood moon is indeed unusual. Let’s look at the world situation today. The pandemic is still spreading. Wars, floods, droughts, earthquakes and other disasters in various countries have also occurred frequently. All of these have fulfilled the prophecy of the Lord Jesus’ return: “And you shall hear of wars and rumors of wars: see that you be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. All these are the beginning of sorrows” (Matthew 24:6–8). It’s evident that the Lord has already returned. The occurrence of disasters is on the one hand reminding us that the Lord has returned; on the other hand, it is God’s chastisement of this evil age. So, the most urgent thing is that we should welcome the Lord’s return and accept God’s salvation in the last days. Only thus can we have the opportunity to be protected by God in disasters.
Now, the returned Lord Jesus — Almighty God, Christ of the last days — has spoken words and done the work of saving man. All true believers from across the world, who long for God’s appearance, have read Almighty God’s words, recognized God’s voice, and been raptured before God’s throne.
