I Am That Bread of Life — John 6:47–48

Welcoming God’s Appearance
2 min readMay 17, 2020

Truly, truly, I say to you, He that believes on me has everlasting life. I am that bread of life.

  • John 6:47–4

Thoughts on Today’s Verse…

The Lord said, “Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God.” God’s words are the bread of life. If we don’t read God’s words, we will feel dark, dry and empty in spirit. Some people lose the desire for everything. When meeting with setbacks and failures, some may feel dejected and disheartened, or even think of killing themselves. Why have so many people suffered from depression and even committed suicide? Revelation 3:17 says, “Because you say, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and know not that you are wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked.” Worldly wealth cannot bring comfort to our hearts, but only God’s words can fill our life with strength and faith.

My Prayer…

God, thank You. I am willing to read Your words more and act in accordance with Your words. I need the provision of Your words every day. You are the bread of my life. Obey Your word then my spirit becomes strong immediately. No matter what failure or setbacks happen to me, they are all arranged by You to perfect me, which makes me live in Your words and treat all the people, events and things around me according to the truth. Amen!
